Idalia L. Manrique
Alice – Idalia L. “Prieta” Manrique, 65 years of age, entered eternal rest on February 28, 2022. She was born on January 24, 1957, in Alice, Texas to Domingo and Ester A. Lopez. Idalia worked in the offices of former District Judge Terry Canales and Jim Wells County Former County Attorney Jesusa Sanchez. She was an avid Alice Coyotes and Dallas Cowboys fan. She enjoyed decorating for family events, going to Bingo and sewing. She loved spending time with her grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Domingo Lopez Jr and Alfonsito Lopez and one sister, Maria Dalia Rodriguez.
Survivors include her husband of 50 years of marriage, Juan Manuel Manrique of Alice, Texas; one daughter, Dora Manrique (Marcos Gaza) of Alice, Texas; two brothers, Miguel Jesus (Mary) Lopez and Jimmy (Roxanne) Lopez both Alice, Texas; five sisters, Margie (Juan Vela) L. Lopez, Lydia L. Guajardo, Norma L. Cano, Cynthia Lopez all of Alice, Texas, and Rebecca (Danny) Rodriguez of Abilene, Texas. Other survivors include five grandchildren, John Thomas Gonzalez, Miguel Rodolfo (Josie) Gonzalez, Marcus (Kiki) Gaza, Joseph Manuel Gaza and Deven Gaza.
Family will receive friends and relatives on Sunday, March 6, 2022, at 5:00 P.M. at Rosas Funeral Home, with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 P.M. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 A.M. on Monday, March 7, 2022, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Burial will follow at the Roberson Collins Cemetery.
