Candelaria Moreno Villarreal
Ben Bolt – Candelaria Moreno Villarreal, age 86, passed away March 7, 2022 in San Antonio, Texas. She was born February 2, 1936 in Cotulla, Texas to Cipriano and Bonifacia Moreno. Candelaria lived in Ben Bolt, Texas most of her life. She enjoyed gambling and cheering for her Dallas Cowboys. She was known for her love of cooking, making tortillas and tamales. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Cipriano and Bonifacia Moreno; two daughters, Maria Elena Quinones and Natalia B. Rangel; two sisters, Jesusa Melchor and Victoria Salazar.
She is survived by her children, Felipe Moreno, Gloria Garza, Richard Moreno, Norma Cadena (Jose), Pedro “Pete” Rangel (Angie Saldaña), Alicia Ramirez (David Chapa), and Joe Ramirez (Cynthia); sister, Dora Martinez; 19 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will be held Thursday, March 10, 2022 from 5 till 9 p.m. at Rosas Funeral Home Chapel with a holy rosary to be recited at 7 p.m. that evening. A funeral mass will be celebrated Friday, March 11, 2022 at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Burial to follow at Roberson Collins Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Teo Benavides Jr., Jose Cadena, Federico Quinones III, Prescilliano Rangel, Richard Falcon, and Gonzalo Gonzalez Jr. Honorary pallbearer will be Alexander Ramirez.
