Servando Sendejo Jr., age 67, passed away May 11, 2022 in Corpus Christi, Texas surrounded by his loving family. He was born March 30, 1955 in Mathis, Texas to Servando Sendejo Sr. and Manuela Torres Sendejo. Servando worked in the oilfield industry as a sales manager for 45 years. He enjoyed outdoor activities such as fishing and hunting. He took pride in his cooking. He cooked for his family and entered many cook-offs and barbecued for anyone. He was known to many for his social and joking character. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Servando Sendejo Sr. and Manuela Torres Sendejo; brothers, David Sendejo, Orlando Sendejo, and Juan Sendejo.
Servando is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Priscilla L. Sendejo of Ben Bolt; two sons, Servando “Vando” Sendejo III (Britni Lynne Gordon) of San Antonio and Silvestre “Silver” Sendejo (Erika) of San Antonio; one brother, Armando Sendejo (Sara) of Ben Bolt; one sister, Esperanza “Hope” Galvan (Ray) of Houston; sisters-in-law, Angie Sendejo of Alice; Anna Lisa Vasquez, Julian Vasquez and Agustine Vasquez all of Alice. Other survivors include four grandchildren, Thalia Lynne Sendejo, Makayla Garcia, Mathias DeLaPaz and Malynah DeLaPaz; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will begin at 6:00 pm on Monday, May 16, 2022 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with a Rosary being recited at 7:00 pm. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, My 17, 2022 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Burial will follow at New Collins Cemetery.
