ABOUT THE EVENT SERIES:
Keep Austin Creating is an ongoing event series produced by non-profit MMAC and dedicated to giving a platform & space for all creatives to meet face-to-face and get to know their arts community. Each event showcases artists, businesses and organizations who actively help shape ATX arts.
This event is produced by 501c(3) non profit Motion Media Arts Center founded in Austin, Texas in 2002.
We are an independent film, art, and technology center that supports every aspect of production from creation to presentation. Our goal is empower, support and educate emerging artists of all ages to be active participants in shaping our culture and engage communities to rethink the way we view film, art and technology. We provide alternative ways to work, learn, create, and consume the arts in the digital era.
Our programs include Austin School of Film and Austin Cinemaker Space.
Our space inhabits 20,000 square feet of a repurposed industrial warehouse in East Austin providing a creative community hub and resource for people of all ages in Central, Texas. Not only those actively aware of the arts but those who are interested or yet to be. Opening doors for all ages, making it a financially viable option.
OUR SERVICES & PROGRAMS:
We provide alternative education, resources, tools and a safe creative space to continue to learn, work and create. We currently offer a monthly membership program which includes: lowcost artist studios, creative co-working space, production & equipment rentals, and an art-driven event space for the Central Texas community. We support local artists and creators in the development of their education and creative skills through currently offering 500 classes year-round taught by industry professionals active within their fields and in the creation, presentation and promotion of work through artist + community events and showcases.
