Listen to the jingle bells as the wagonetts travel through Fredericksburg’s 40 blocks of historic neighborhoods, where you’ll see the quaint streets and picturesque architecture. These late afternoon and evening tours are a great way to view the holiday themed store windows and Fredericksburg’s unique holiday charm.
If you take the ride in the later afternoon you will see the traditonal greeniery of old days, if you decide to take the later ride you will see the candles in the windows and houses decorated in Christmas Lights.
On this 50-minute carriage ride through historic downtown Fredericksburg, you will:
Discover the beautiful holiday lights
Learn some Christmas Trivia
Listen to some holiday music
Receive some holiday treats to take home
We’ll take a slow trip down Caroline Street to see the decorated store windows (you won’t miss a thing), past Kenmore Plantation, down Washington Avenue and then wind our way past Fredericksburg’s official Christmas Tree.
You’ll learn how the holidays were practiced during the colonial and civil war periods. Very different from our holidays today.
Sharpen up on those Christmas Carols!
Please note we use both carriages and wagonettes for all of our rides during the holiday season they are assigned by number of individuals riding! We can not guarantee a specific vehicle.
Tips are appreciated! Our drivers give 100%!
