Senior Stroll – Isle Royale: A Superior Wilderness

Event Description

Join naturalist Barb McKittrick for a travelogue about her visit to Isle Royale National Park, a place of isolation and wilderness surrounded by the icy waters of Lake Superior. Learn about the Isle Royale wolf/moose project, the longest continuous study of any predator-prey system in the world, as well as the unique geology, wildlife, plant life and cultural history of this remote island archipelago. We’ll provide the backpacking snacks!
