Petra De Los Santos Hansen
Alice – Petra De Los Santos Hansen, age 72, passed away December 1, 2021 in Alice, Texas. She was born in Alice May 15, 1949 to Pablo De Los Santos Sr. and Cleotilde De Los Santos. Petra was a substance abuse counselor in Harlingen and Corpus Christi Texas for many years and was passionate about her job. She held a special bond with her clients and often sponsored them as well. Her last years of employment were at Alice Wal-Mart as a door greeter, she truly enjoyed greeting customers and made many friends along the way. Customers looked forward to her wonderful smile and her genuine way of making them feel special and welcomed. She always be known for her caring and thoughtful ways, and especially the love she had for her family. She will be dearly missed.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Pablo De Los Santos Sr. and Cleotilde De Los Santos; brothers, Samuel De Los Santos Sr. and Pablo De Los Santos Jr.; and sister, Elva Garcia.
She is survived by one son, Servando David Bernal (Veronica) of Corpus Christi; one daughter, Barbara D. Guerrero (R. David) of Alice; two sisters, Diana Yruegas (Nestor) of Alice and Diana Cisneros (the late David) of McAllen; three grandchildren, Miranda Bernal (David Leal) Rebeka Bernal, and Alyssa Bernal; three great-grandchildren, Cleo Renae Bernal, and Suzie Bernal, and David Manuel “Manny” Leal; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will be held Sunday, December 5, 2021 from 6:30 p.m. till 7:30 p.m. at Rosas Funeral Home Chapel with a rosary being recited at 7:30 p.m. that evening. A funeral mass will be celebrated Monday, December 6, 2021 at 1 p.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Services will conclude after the mass.
Pallbearers will be Gilbert Garcia, Jonathan Garcia, David Cisneros Jr., David Leal, Servando D. Bernal and R. David Guerrero
