John Edward Corona
Alice – John Edward Corona, gained his wings on December 8, 2021 at the age of 44. He passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family.
John was a hard worker and spent many years in the oil field. He loved spending time with his family and grandbabies. When John wasn’t off traveling with his wife, he was in the kitchen cooking. He loved cooking, especially his well-known enchiladas.
John is preceded in death by his stepfather, Luciano Rubalcaba; maternal grandmother, Eva Benavides; paternal grandmother, Julia Corona; and mother- in- law, Margarita Sanchez.
He is survived by his wife of 22 years, Josie Lee Corona; 3 daughters, Lizzie Longoria, Gina Longoria (Albert Salazar), and Tessa Longoria (Alejandro Munoz); 3 sons, Jay Longoria (Raven), John Corona, Jr., and Mark Corona; parents, Jose Luis Corona (Alice Rubalcaba); sisters, Leslie Gallegos (Ray Olivarri), Tania Corona, and Lysa Trevino; brothers, Jose Luis Corona (Gracie), Daniel Corona (Jennifer), Albino Corona, Orlando Garza, Jr. (Isela) and Roel Alaniz; father-in-law, Vicente Sanchez; grandchildren, Madelina Longoria, Juliana Longoria, Leveah Sarabia, Javen Longoria, Lazarus Longoria, Zayden John Lee Longoria, and Anthony Salazar; numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.
The family will receive condolences on Thursday, December 16, 2021, from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM, at Trevino Funeral Home, 120 E. Front St., Alice, Texas; with the Prayer Service to be recited at 1:00 PM.
