Alice – Maria S. Valenzuela, age 69, passed away December 31, 2021 in Alice, Texas. She was born February 20, 1952 in Corpus Christi, Texas to Antonio and Maria Anguiano. Maria had a love for playing chalupa, watching game shows, and eating barbecue. She was an avid Philadelphia Eagles fan and enjoyed being around her family. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Antonio and Maria Anguiano; husband, Alcario Valenzuela; brother, Rafael Anguiano; and sister, Felicita Rodriguez.
She is survived by her children, Isabel Balansuela if Killeen, Alcario Balansuela (Kristi) of Alice, Raquel Reyes of Alice, Belinda Govea (James) of Alice, Daniel Balansuela of Alice, Matthew Cantu of Alice, ad Melinda Landeros of Robstown; brothers, Antonio Anguiano Jr. (Sylvia) of Alfred and Jose Anguiano of Alice; sister, Martina Hudson of Alice; grandchildren, Patricia Garza, Amanda Garza, Meghan Balansuela, David Balansuela, Nayelli Govea, Matthew Cantu, Eathan Cantu, and Jose Cantu; great-grandchildren, Ares Sanchez and Selene Sanchez; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, and uncles; her beloved dog, Lucus.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, January 5, 2022 from 5:30 till 9 p.m. at Rosas Funeral Home Chapel with a funeral service being held at 7p.m. that same day. Services to conclude after the funeral in the chapel.
