Bonnie Lee Perez passed away on January 4, 2022 at the age of 40. She was a loving daughter, sister, aunt, and friend. Bonnie graduated from Agua Dulce High School and attended Southern Careers Institute to further her education in Nursing; which was her passion, and worked for Dr. Badruddin with Coastal Cardiology Associates.
Bonnie never met a stranger and was always happy and friendly. Dancing and listening to music were her favorite pastimes. She loved going fishing, watching wrestling, and watching her favorite football team, the Texans, play their games on TV. She will be dearly missed by all whom knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Rebecca Chapa Perez; baby brother, Javier Perez; paternal grandparents, Martin and Esther Perez; maternal grandparents, Silverio and Ofelia Chapa Sr.; uncles, Silverio Chapa Jr and Juan Chapa; aunt, Rosa Garza; and brother-in-law, Robert Lee Walters.
Bonnie is survived by her father, Martin Perez Jr, step-mother, Jennifer Perez; sisters, Sonia (Brandon) Martinez and Monica Walters; nieces, Heaven (Alex Pena) Walters, Bobbie Jo Walters, and Avery Martinez; nephews, Raziel Martinez and Atreus Martinez; great-nephew, Xavier Pena; great-nieces, Madalyn Pena and Emory Moore; aunts, Raquel Leal, Rachel Perez, Terri Perez, Nora Alba, Carmen (Robert) Perez, and La Venda Perez; uncles, Manuel (Margret) Perez, Carlos Perez, David (Rica) Perez, and Mark (Sylvia) Perez; and numerous cousins and extended family.
The family will receive condolences on Saturday, January 8, 2022, from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM, at Trevino Funeral Home Alice, 120 E. Front St; with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 11:30 AM. A Funeral Liturgy will follow at 12:00 PM. Services will conclude in the chapel.
