Sandia – Travis Matthew Mittag born December 28th, 2007 in Beeville, Texas passed away on January 18th, 2022 at the age of 14. He was born to Stephanie Christine Mittag with his grandmother Karen Herzberg present at Christus Spohn Hospital.
During his first 3 years of life Travis lived in Beeville with his mother and grandmother. He was such a sweet loving child who loved to play outside and loved playing with his cousin Walker Moore and hanging out with his grandma. At the age of 3, Travis gained a dad in Gerald Damon Arthur when he wed his mother Stephanie. Damon and Travis were bonded from that time forward and became best buds. Travis was a smart, fun, loving young man who loved to hunt and spend time at the ranch with his dad. He was the best big brother to his siblings and loved them dearly. Travis loved geodes and rock collecting beginning at an early age. He often found arrowheads and other interesting rocks while at the ranch when he wasn’t hunting with is dad. He loved the outdoors, swimming, animals and gaming. The joy and love that Travis brought into everyone’s lives was his greatest gift. Travis was loved by all that knew him and will be missed greatly by all his family and friends.
He is survived by his mother Stephanie Christine Mittag and Stepfather Gerald Damon Arthur as well as his brother Tucker Thomas Arthur and sisters Allie Mae Arthur, Clelie Marie Arthur and Hazel Bernyce Arthur. Travis was blessed to have extended family and is also survived by his stepmother Apryl Rose Noles and stepbrother Trey Noles. He is also survived by his grandparents Karen Yvonne Herzberg (Bobby), Cynthia Ann Arthur, and Timothy Mark Mittag. His uncles Zachary Mittag (Joslynn), Zane Mittag (Claire), Orry Arthur, Max Mittag, Hamm Mittag and Jonah Mittag and one aunt Sara Jean Mittag. Travis is also survived by his great grandmother Elinor Florence Arthur and many other great uncles, aunts, and friends.
Travis was preceded in death by his grandfather Gilbert Dane Arthur, great grandmother Della Ursula Prejean and Imogene Laverne Hester and great grandfather Carroll Weston Prejean.
A celebration of life will be held Saturday, January 29th at 6 P.M. at Cross Trails Cowboy Church 1911 FM 624 Orange Grove Texas. A candlelight vigil will follow the service.
