Charles “Chuck” Medina, 60, passed away January 17, 2022. He was born September 2, 1961, in Corpus Christi, Texas. Chuck was a mechanic and had a passion for Harley Davidson cycles.
He enjoyed spending time with family, riding his motorcycle, going on bike rallies, and eating out. He also enjoyed watching boxing matches with his father and cooking for his brothers and sisters. Chuck loved his wife, his children, and his grandchildren very much, any free time was always his priority with them. He will be greatly missed but will be in our hearts forever.
Chuck was preceded in death by his brother, Willie Medina; grandmother, Celerina Medina; nephew, Jesse Benavidez; mother-in-law, Esmeralda B. Alfaro, and brother-in-law Manuel Alfaro Jr.
Chuck is survived by his wife of 39 years, Marlinda Alfaro Medina of Corpus Christi, Texas; father, Juan Medina; father in law, Manuel Alfaro Sr., son, Jared “Chucky” (Gabby Lopez) Medina; daughters, Ariel Medina all of Alice and Deborah (Isaac) Davila of San Antonio, Texas; grandchildren, Ryan Davila, Brody Medina, Allison Medina, Wyatt Medina, Hayden Medina, McKenzie Davila and Madison Davila; brother, John Medina; sisters, Donna Medina both of Alice, Texas, Darla Escobedo of Corpus Christi, Texas; brothers-in-law, Fermin (Mari) Alfaro of San Antonio, Texas, Mario (Minnie) Alfaro of Alice, Texas; sisters-in-law, Yvette (Freddie Olivarez) Benavides and Melissa (Jesse) Quintanilla both of Alice, Texas, Olinda Medina of San Diego, Texas, nieces, Neva (Chris) Valdez of Portland, Texas, Carla (Ruben) Soliz and Meagan (Robert) Gonzalez both of San Diego, Texas; nephew, Carlos Omar (Bianca) Gonzalez of Corpus Christi, Texas; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Visitation will be held Saturday, January 22, 2022, from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Rosas Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 1 p.m. at Stonegate Baptist Church. Burial will follow at the New Collins Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers are Fermin Alfaro Jr., Rick Benavides, Gilbert “Joker” Gutierrez, Adan Heras, Albert Martinez, Isaac Davila, Carlos “Chalito” Gonzalez, Sammy Medina and Charlie Garza.
