Alice – Felicita L. Garza “Fela”, age 74, passed away surrounded by her loving family on February 13, 2022 in Corpus Christi, Texas. She was born September 10, 1947 in San Diego, Texas to Juan Jose Luna and Policarpia Garza Luna. Fela was a loving and caring wife, mother, sister, and grandma who was very proud of all her children and grandchildren. Fela enjoyed watching her favorite tv shows, gambling, going to bingos, and many other activities, but her most favorite of all was attending family gatherings. She was known to many as a caring person who was always a great listener and spoke her words of wisdom. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Juan Jose Luna and Policarpia Garza Luna; brothers, Ricardo Luna and Juan Luna; great-grandsons, Logan Joey Sanchez and Noah Lee Tovar.
She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Juan Garza of Alice; children, Gabby Rosas (Rick) of Alice, Alicia Tobar (Fabian) of Alice, Dalia Ruiz (Rene) of Robstown, Delia Garza of Alice, Juan Garza Jr. (Carmen) of Alice, Betty Stout (Adrian) of Alice, and Tina Owen (David) of Alice; siblings, Rosa Torres of Killeen, Lupe Saenz of Corpus Christi, Margarita Trevino of Houston, Rufino Luna of San Diego and Salvador Luna of San Diego; 20 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephew, and cousins.
Visitation will be held Thursday, February 17, 2022 from 12 pm till 1 p.m. at Rosas Funeral Home Chapel with a holy rosary to be recited at 1 p.m. A funeral mass will follow at 2:30 p.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church that same day. Burial to follow at Roselawn Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Ricky Rosas, Alexander Tobar, Rene Ruiz III, Rene Vela, Jon Owen, Isaiah Stout, Juan Garza III, and Justin Ruiz.
