Ben Bolt, TX – Eddie Piña Sr., age 39, passed away February 2, 2022 in Ben Bolt, Texas. He was born September 10, 1982 in Fort Worth, Texas to Eden Piña Sr. and Jesusa Aldaco. Eddie enjoyed barbecuing, hosting parties and having his adult beverages. He was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan and will forever be remembered for his love for his family and spending quality time with his children and grandson. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, paternal grandfather, Evaristo Piña Sr.; and maternal grandparents, Jose Aldaco and Florencio Herrera Aldaco.
He is survived by his companion who he loved, Michelle Piña of Ben Bolt; four children, Bianca Piña (Martin Rivera Jr.) of Alice, Sophia Piña, Vanessa Piña, and Eddie Piña Jr. all of Ben Bolt; paternal grandmother, Amelia Piña of Grapevine; father, Eden Piña Sr. of Alice; mother, Jesusa Piña of Tecolote; siblings, Eden Piña Jr. (Mirelda), Adan Piña, and Janette Piña (Arcadio) all of Alice; one grandson, Martin Rivera III; numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Visitation will be held Friday, February 18, 2022 from 5 till 9 p.m. at Rosas Funeral Home Chapel with a rosary to be recited at 7 p.m. that evening. A funeral mass will be celebrated Saturday, February 19, 2022 at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Burial to follow at Roberson Collins Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Eden Piña Sr., Eden Piña Jr. Adam Piña Sr., Martin Rivera Jr., Esteban Mata, Ernie Rivera, Miguel Cruz, and Jose Sandoval. Honorary pallbearers will be Matin Rivera III and Eddie Piña Jr.
