Freer – Our earthly Angel Omar Javier Magana gained his heavenly wings on January 30, 2022, at the age of nine years old. He was born on January 7, 2013, in Corpus Christi, Texas to Omar Javier Magana Sr. and Lee Ann Canales. He was a 3rd grader at Norman Thomas Elementary School of Freer, Texas. Omar had a passion for dinosaurs, loved to watch SpongeBob Square Pants, and enjoyed the kinder joy eggs as a snack. He was in our life for a short time but will remain in our hearts forever. Fly high with angels little one until we meet again.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his parents, Lee Ann and Ray Pena of Freer, Texas; two brothers, Jesse Lee Vargas and Aiden Vargas; two sisters, Myranda Lee Vargas and Maddison Lee Magana all from Freer, Texas; maternal grandparents, Librado and Gertrudis Canales of Hebbronville, Texas; paternal grandparents, Daniel and Elsa Magana of Corpus Christi, Texas; numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Family will receive friends and family on Thursday, February 10, 2022 at 5:00 p.m. at Rosas Funeral Home a Holy Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. that evening. Funeral Service will be conducted Friday, February 11, 2022 at 9:30 a.m. at Rosas Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral procession will depart following the service going to the Little “O” Cemetery in Freer, Texas.
