Maria E. Gonzalez
Alice – Maria Eliza Gonzalez 70 years of age passed away on March 5, 2022.
Maria was a homemaker and a beloved mother, grandmother and great- grandmother. She was born on December 15, 1951, in San Diego, Texas to Eliseo and Maria V. Ramos. She enjoyed playing Loteria, bingo and having her family gathered. She enjoyed cooking big meals for all her family to enjoy, especially for the holidays. She will forever be in our hearts and will never be forgotten.
Maria Eliza was preceded in death by her father-in-law, Ramiro Gonzalez Sr., mother-in-law, Hilaria Gonzalez; her husband, Ramiro Gonzalez Jr.; her mother, Maria V. Ramos; one sister, Belinda Hernandez; brother Eliseo Ramos Jr.; three sons, Ramiro Gonzalez III, Hilario Gonzalez, Ricky Gonzalez; daughters, Rosario Dolores Gonzalez and Ana Maria Gonzalez and three grandchildren, Ramiro Gonzalez VI, Ruben Moya Jr. and Marisela Gonzalez; nephew, Jose Concepcion Salinas.
Survivors include one son, Alonzo Gonzalez of Alice, Texas; two daughters, Anna Marie Garcia of Alice, Texas and Frances G. Mireles of Kingsville, Texas; her father, Eliseo Ramos of Yoakum, Texas and three sisters, Teresa (Concepcion) Salinas and San Juanita Maldonado of San Diego Texas and Sylvia Rodriguez of San Antonio, Texas. Other survivors include 28 grandchildren, 58 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.
Family will receive friends and relatives at 5:00 P.M. on Sunday March 13, 2022, at Rosas Funeral Home with a Holy Rosary recited at 7:00 P.M. that evening. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 A.M. on Monday, March 14, 2022, at St. Francis De Paula Catholic Church of San Diego. Burial will follow at the San Diego Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers will be Lorain Garcia, Julie Ann Herrera, Shahayla Gonzalez, Miguel Angel Garcia, Aaron Michael Garcia, Benjamin Martinez, Rene Guerrero, Elizabeth Gonzalez and Miguel Garcia Jr.
