Maria Irene Molina
Alice – Maria Irene Molina, age 76, passed away March 31, 2022 in Alice, Texas. She was born January 9, 1946 in Benavides, Texas. Maria enjoyed listening to music, singing and watching her television shows. Some of her favorite shows was the Golden Girls and some she would watch with her husband such as, Andy Griffin Show, Bonanza, and John Wayne movies. Maria had a strong work ethic from working as a home provider in the medical field to keeping the household up at home. She enjoyed cooking and washing for her family and was a firm believer in hanging her clothes out to dry. She will be remembered for her unconditional love for her family and her sense of humor. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Pedro Molina Sr.; son, Pedro Molina Jr.; mother, Leonides Soliz Chapa; sisters, Gracie Sanchez, Gracie Villarreal, Mary Cardona, and Magdalena Chapa; brothers, Pedro Chapa, Felix “Chuy” Chapa, and Victoriano Chapa; son-in-law, Florentino De La Rosa; granddaughters, Lindsey De La Rosa, Lauralie Maria Ponce; grandsons, Kaleb Xavier Garcia and Miguel Angel
Maria is survive by her children, Irene Pineda (Luciano) of Georgia, Nora Molina of Columbus, Texas, Linda Molina of Alice, Olivia De La Rosa of Grand Prairie, Albert Molina (JoLynn) of Alice, Mirelda Garcia (Richard) of Alice, and Laura Ponce (Adan) of Alice, four grandchildren she raised as children, Julio Garcia (Erica) of Alice, Marcos Garcia (Alejandra) of Alice, Mari Elizondo (Dr. Carlos) of Corpus Christi, and Justin Molina of Alice; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, April 6, 2022 beginning at 5 p.m. with a holy rosary to be held at 7 p.m. that evening. A funeral mass will be celebrated Thursday, April 7, 2022 at 1:30 pm at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Burial to follow at Roberson Collins Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Carlos Elizondo Jr., Sean Molina, Julio Garcia Jr., Moses Martinez, Bernardo Solano, Pedro Molina III, Adrian Nava, and Conan De La Rosa.
