SAN DIEGO – Duval County jail recently had a surprise inspection and passed, said Sheriff Romero Ramirez.
“I want to congratulate my jail administrator Lt. Kimberly Perez, Assistant Ricky Garcia and my entire jail staff for an exemplary performance and passing of the jail certification,” Ramirez said.
The Commission on Jail Standards showed up unannounced to conduct their inspection of the Duval County jail as required annually by jail standards.
“(Their) leadership and performance does not go unnoticed. Thank you all, for all you do in ensuring the safety of your fellow officers as well as those whom are incarcerated. Thank You to the Duval County Commissioners Court for your continuance support of the operations of the County jail,” Ramirez said.
