JOVITA C. TREJO Alice, Texas – Jovita C. Trejo, 86, entered eternal rest April 8, 2023, in San Antonio, Texas. She was born February 15, 1937, in San Diego, Texas to Fidencio and Rosa L. Cantu. Jovita grew up with humble beginnings and lived a life full of love and family values. It is through her values that she learned the importance of family unity. She had a love for family gatherings, gardening, and making her signature dishes tamales, cookies, and pan de polvo to name a few. She was a remarkable wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt whom many people loved dearly and often referred to her as “mom”. From working in the fields and humble beginnings, Jovita became a strong advocate of education. Through her strong will and hard work ethic, she worked towards completing her GED followed by a Nurses Aide certification. She then continued her education and obtained her LVN to later complete the degree of Registered Nurse at the age of 57. All while working and continuing to provide for her family. Jovita was always willing to help others and enjoyed pedicures and strawberry ice cream. She was also able to enjoy traveling to many countries around the world with her family. Jovita will forever be remembered for the legacy of love she left behind, her strong values that she instilled in her family, and her committed support to all her family regarding the importance of family unity. Although the absence of Jovita will be felt here on earth by many who knew her, the family is comforted knowing she is reunited with her husband, who she enjoyed singing, dancing, and drinking coffee with. She will be dearly missed.
