RAMON ROBERTO CHAVARRIA “MI CHOMPS” Alice, Texas – Ramon Roberto Chavarria “Mi Chomps”, entered eternal rest May 4, 2023, in Corpus Christi, Texas at the age of 14. He was born October 29, 2008, in Alice, Texas to Roel and Veronica Chavarria. Ramon attended Bernarda Jaime Junior High School in San Diego as a 8th grader. He enjoyed playing games on his computer and PlayStation. He also enjoyed shooting his guns and would often find Ramon riding his 4-wheeler and Ranger. Ramon was known as a sweet, quiet child who enjoyed being around his family and friends and everyone adored him. He is survived by his parents, Roel and Veronica Chavarria of Alice; siblings, Roel Chavarria Jr. (Tacorra) of Corpus Christi, Megan Lynn Chavez (the late Jacob) of Alice, and Molly Alexandra Chavaria of Alice; paternal grandparents, Linda Chavarria (the late Roberto) of San Diego; maternal grandparents, Luis and Dee Gutierrez of Alice; aunts and uncles, Roberto Chavarria Jr. (Lucia) of San Patricio, Ricardo Chavarria (Lisa) of San Diego, Reynaldo Chavarria (Carmen) of Alice, Ruben Chavarria (Erica) of San Diego, Hermelinda Cisneros (Michael) of San Diego, Christina Hinojosa (Ernest) of Alice, Christabel Johnson of Calallen, and Vanessa Lozano (Eddie) of Alice; nieces and nephews, Rico Chavarria, Royce Chavarria, Aaralynn Chavez and Bella Chavez; best friends, Jacob Flores, R.J. Alaniz, Uri Chavarria, Isaac Escalante, Aaralynn Chavez, Molly Chavarria, and his father, Roel Chavarria; and his pet bird, Buddy. Visitation was held Sunday, May 7, 2023, from 5 until 9 p.m. at Rosas Funeral Home Chapel with a Rosary recited at 7 p.m. that evening. A funeral mass was celebrated Monday, May 8, 2023, at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Burial followed at New Collins Cemetery. Pallbearers were Ralph Chavarria, Ryan Chavarria, Robert Chavarria III, Mike Cisneros, Reynaldo Chavarria Jr., and Ruben Chavarria.
