OFILIA ESPINOZA SILVA passed away peacefully Friday, May 5, 2023, at the glorious age of 91. She was born to Elodia and Manuel Espinoza on February 28, 1932, (Leap Year) in Realitos, Texas, but celebrated her birthday on March 1. She was a homemaker who loved her family and enjoyed sewing, crochet and traveling with her daughter. She was a beloved daughter, wife, mother, sister, aunt, friend and a believer in the Catholic faith, who will be greatly missed. She is preceded in death by her parents, a daughter, Anna Cristina Silva; five brothers and two sisters. She is survived by her loving husband of 75 years, married in Marion, Texas, Jose Angel Silva; sisters, Rosalinda N. Espinoza of Lubbock, Texas, Juanita Peralez of Idalou, Texas; nieces who were always there to care for her, Isabel S. Garcia and Elena S. Lomas of Alice; her special friend, Katy Howell and family from Marion, Texas. A mass for Ofilia will be held Wednesday, May 17, 2023, from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Church of the Good Shepherd, 1065 E. Live Oak Rd., Schertz, TX 78154. Following the mass will be a graveside service from 1 to 2 p.m. at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery, 17501 Nacogdoches Rd., San Antonio, TX 78266.
