Nora Sylvia Guerra passed away at her residence on October 25, 2023. She was born September 23, 1944, in Falfurrias, Texas, to Doroteo S. Garza and Maria Luisa Martinez. She is survived by her husband Jose Mario Guerra of Falfurrias, two sons, Michael Guerra (Debbie) of Alice, Texas and Richard Guerra (Rina) of Alice, two brothers, Tomas Garza (Albesa) of Windsor, Colo. and Oscar Garza (Imelda) of Corpus Christi, Texas, two sisters, Berta (the late Rodolfo) Almaraz of Hebbronville, Texas, and Maria Imelda (the late Jose) Garza of Falfurrias, 13 grandchildren, Remi Guerra, Nora Guerra, Myrea Guerra, Ryan Guerra, Avery Martinez, Bruno Martinez, Javier Miguel Guerra, Alisson Sarita Guerra, Zachary Leo Guerra, Daniel Carvajal, Adrian (Christian) Sanchez, Alyssa Gonzalez and Karissa Gonzalez, three great-grandchildren, Vincent Grey Guerra, Eleanor Jolie Martinez and Xochitl Liliana Brady. Nora is preceded in death by her parents and a granddaughter, Rebecca R. Sanchez. Funeral services will begin at 10 a.m. Saturday, November 4, 2023, at Saint Theresa Catholic Church in Premont, Texas.
