Criselia R. Saenz, 92, entered enteral rest on Sunday, November 19, 2023, in a nursing home of San Diego, Texas. She was born October 27, 1931, to Eusebio and Audelia Salinas Reyes. Criselia worked diligently as a housekeeper for serval families in Freer. She was a single mother that played the role of the mother and father to her two sons who were her pride and joy. Her strong faith and courage helped her overcome many obstacles life presented before her. She fulfilled her dream of seeing her sons prosper and raise their families with the morals and ethics she instilled in them. She was a former active member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Cris would enjoy spending time with her grandchildren. Family was above all for Cris. She is preceded in death by her parents, her bothers Anacleto Reyes, Antonio Reyes, sister Patricia Espinoza and Maria Reyes and her son who passed away on October 26, 2023, Juan Mario Saenz. Survivors include one son Hector (Viana) Saenz of Alice, Texas and one daughter-in-law Mary Lou Saenz of Freer, one sister Angelita (Vicente) Guerra of Corpus Christi, Texas, two sisters-in-law Gloria Reyes of Robstown and Simona Reyes of Freer and numerous nieces and nephews. The family received friends and relatives at 5 p.m. on Sunday, November 26, 2023, at Rosas Funeral Home. A holy rosary was received at 7 p.m. that evening. Funeral mass was celebrated at 11 a.m. on Monday, November 27, 2023, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church of Freer. Burial followed at Los Reyes Cemetery in Los Reyes community in Duval County. Serving as pallbearers were Mario Saenz Jr., Daniel Saenz, Christopher Silva, Eulogio Espinoza III, Andres Hinojosa and Matin Reyes. Rosas Funeral Home entrusted with arrangements.Cri
