Erasmo Aguilar Sr., “Apa’, 72, entered eternal rest November 19, 2023, in Alice. He was born May 16, 1951, in Alice to Alfredo and Delma Aguilar. Erasmo married the love of his life, SanJuana in 1972. They had four children and raised their grandson as their own. Erasmo was a man of all traits. He worked with the ASA Ambulance and in the oilfields. He loved doing mechanic work, carpentry, and yard work. He loved to watch wrestling, western and gangster movies. He also loved to go fishing, play machines at Kickapoo and take long chill cruises. He absolutely loved to spend time with his kids, especially with his grandkids. He loved to laugh and joke with everyone. He was and will forever be a loving, caring and amazing husband, father, grandfather, and friend who will be dearly missed by all his family and friends. He was preceded in death by his mother, Delma Gonzalez Aguilar; father, Alfredo Aguilar; his grandparents who raised him, Guadalupe and Sabas Aguilar; and a brother, Bruni Aguilar. He is survived by the love of his life of 52 years, SanJuana Mata Aguilar of Alice; children, Delma Aguilar of Alice, Rosa A. Macias (Matthew) of Alice, Angelica Ramos (Rocky Vela) of Alice, Erasmo Aguilar Jr. (Chelsea) of Alice and Miguel Angel Aguilar of Kingsville; grandchildren, Erasmo T. Aguilar, Nicholle Sanchez, Alex Ramos, Matthew Macias Jr., Mercedes Mia Macias, Narriah Alviar, Marc Macias, Nicholas Aguilar, Angeleen Aguilar, Kaylee Aguilar, Hayven Miracle Aguilar, and Roxsea Aguilar; two great-granddaughters, Aliann Aguilar and Arya Aguilar; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Visitation was held Monday, November 27, 2023, from 5:30 till 9 p.m. at Rosas Funeral Home Chapel with a Holy Rosary being recited at 7 p.m. that evening. Services concluded in the chapel.
