ENRIQUE R. GARCIA, JR. San Diego Dateline- It’s with great sadness that we inform you of the passing of our beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. Enrique R. Garcia Jr. passed away peacefully in a Corpus Christi hospital with his family around his bedside. He was a great father and provider for his family. Enrique was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan, loved spending time with his family especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and barbequing for his family. He was an oil tool inspector for over 40 years until his retirement. Enrique could be found in area casinos accompanying his wife trying their luck at gambling. He was born on August 17, 1946, in Robstown, Texas to Enrique and Elodia Rangel Garcia Sr. His family will miss him dearly and will remember him every day for his love and a heart of gold that made him the best. He rejoins in heaven with his parents; three brothers, Eloy R. Garcia, Hector Garcia, Eduardo Garcia; and one infant sister, Esmerlda Garcia. Survivors include his wife of 50 years of marriage, Dora Chapa Garcia of San Diego, Texas; two sons, Enrique (Margo) Garcia III and Roland (Bernadette) Garcia both of Alice, Texas; two daughters, Thelma “Tam” (Osbaldo) Gonzalez and Essey (Mathew) Saenz both of Alice, Texas; one sister, Elma (Enrique) Rosas of Agua Dulce, Texas; his grandchildren, Enrique Garcia VI, Osbaldo “Trae” Gonzalez, Matthew Gonzalez, Isaac Gonzalez, Rolando Garcia Jr., Riyan Garcia, Jaelyse Garcia, Anissa Adams, LeRoy Adams III, Mateo Saenz, Miguel Saenz; and one great grandson, Aven Jace Garcia The family will receive friends and relatives at 5:00 P.M. on Friday, January 5, 2024, at Rosas Funeral Home with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 7:00 P.M. that evening. Funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, January 6, 2024, at St. Joseph Catholic Church of Alice, Texas. A burial will follow at the Roberson Collins Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Enrique Garcia VI, Osbaldo “Trae” Gonzalez, Matthew Gonzalez, Isaac Gonzalez, Roland Garcia Jr., Riyan Garcia, Miguel Saenz, and Leroy Adams III.
