Daniel Smithwick, age 65, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 16, 2024 at his home in Agua Dulce, Texas. He was born April 25, 1959 in Alice, Texas to Robert Smithwick and Aurora Saenz Smithwick.
He will be dearly loved and will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him.
He is preceded in death by his parents; his sisters Jamie Smithwick, and Barbara Smithwick Pruneda; and his brother Robert “Bobby” Smithwick.
He is survived by his wife Helen Ramon Smithwick; his daughter Ashley (Jose) Smithwick Bernal; grandchildren Liam Robert-Cooper Smithwick, Bailee Nichole Bernal, Jose Bernal, Jr., Maliyah Bernal, and Dominic Bernal; one great grandchild Matthew James Bernal; two brothers David (Mellie) Smithwick, and Daryl Smithwick; sister-in-law Velma Smithwick, and brother-in-law Jose Pruneda.
Pallbearers: Liam Robert-Cooper Smithwick, Jose Bernal, Jr., Daryl Smithwick, Jr., Addison Smithwick, Mike Garza, and Richard Garcia.
A visitation will be held from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM, Thursday, July 18,2024 at Holmgreen Mortuary in Alice, Texas. A recitation of the Holy Rosary will be at 7:00 PM.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Alice, Texas. Christian Burial will follow at Alice Cemetery.
