San Diego, TX – Adrian Salaiz, age 37, passed away September 19, 2021. He was born on August 7, 1984, in Corpus Christi, Texas to Amando and Maria I. Salaiz. Adrian had a gift for roping and welding. He also worked in the oil industry for numerous years. He enjoyed ranch work, roping, hanging out with friends and family especially his children. Adrian was always willing to give a helping hand to anyone. Adrian made friends anywhere he went. He was the life of the party, he was always making people laugh and made jokes about any and everything. He had a special bond with his sister and was a loving father, son, brother, uncle and friend.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Nicolas and Maria Gonzalez; paternal grandparents, Cruz and Refugia Salaiz; and uncle, Pedro Salaiz.
He is survived by his fiancé, Robbie Barrientez of San Diego; five children, Adrian Salaiz Jr., Adrissa Salaiz, Isaiah Abel Salaiz, Adriella Salaiz and Sinco Amando Salaiz; parents, Amando and Maria I. Salaiz of San Diego, Texas; brothers, Armando (Ida) Salaiz and Amando Andres “Andy” Salaiz both of San Diego; sister Debra (Russell) Reyes of San Diego. Adrian had a special bond with nieces and nephews, Brianna Reyes, Kaitlyn Salaiz, Justin Reyes, Ryan Reyes and Aiden Salaiz; numerous of other nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. He is also survived by his best friend, his dog “Gus”.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 4, 2021 at Rosas Funeral Home Chapel from 5 till 9 p.m. with a Holy Rosary to be held at 7 p.m. that evening. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, October 5, 2021 at 10 a.m. at St. Francis de Paula Catholic Church in San Diego. Burial to follow at San Diego Cemetery #2.
Pallbearers will be Armando Salaiz, Amando Andres “Andy” Salaiz, Russell Reyes, Justin Reyes, Beto Reyes, Rolando “Rolly” Salaiz, Kyle Everett, Saul Vela, Cesar Trevino, and William Rodriguez. Honorary pallbearers will be Adrian Salaiz Jr., Adrissa Salaiz, Adriella Salaiz, Isaiah Abel Salaiz, Sinco Amando Salaiz, Kaitlyn Salaiz, Brianna Reyes, Ryan Reyes and Aiden Salaiz.
