Alberto “Third” Aguilar III, 39 years of age, was called home on Monday, July 10, 2023. He was born in Alice, Texas on June 25, 1984 to his parents, Alberto and Emerica Aguilar. Albert was a graduate of Benavides High School class of 2002 and participated in several sports activities. He was formerly a teacher aide and coach for Benavides ISD and was also formerly employed with Fesco Inc as a Lab Technician. Albert enjoyed spending time with his family and was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan and New York Yankees fan. He enjoyed participating in the Ironman Galveston 70.3, the Ironman Austin 70.3 and Capital 2 Coast 223 Relay team. Albert was a loving husband, father, son, brother, and nephew who will be sadly missed by all his family and friends.
Albert is survived by his wife Perla “Pearl” Aguilar of Alice, Texas; two daughters, Abigail “Abby” Aguilar and Alexis Farias; his mother, Emerica Aguilar and his father, Alberto Aguilar Jr.; one sister, Belinda Aguilar; maternal grandmother, Zulema R. Vela of San Diego, Texas; paternal grandmother, Olga Aguilar of Alice, Texas; parents-in-law, Mario and Sylvia Garza of Alice, Texas; brother-in-law, Hector Garza of Alice, Texas; maternal aunts, Zulema Vela, Bibi (Joe Dan) Casas, Lala (Hector) Perez; maternal uncles, Joe (Minnie) Vela, Roel (Diana) Vela, Raul (Toni) Vela Jr.; paternal aunts, Luby Hernandez, Rosa Linda (Joe) Ruiz, Melba (Johnny) Lara; paternal uncles, Luis (Adelfa) Aguilar, Noel Aguilar, Raul (Cindy) Carbajal, Roland Aguilar; and numerous cousins.
Visitation will be held at 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. on Friday, July 14, 2023, at Garza Funeral Home in San Diego, Texas with a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. that evening. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 15, 2023, at St. Francis De Paula Catholic Church in San Diego, Texas. Interment will follow at San Diego Cemetery #2 in San Diego, Texas.
