Alejandro G. Chapa III
Corpus Christi – Alejandro G. Chapa III, age 75, passed away March 25, 2022 in Corpus Christi, Texas. He was born November 1, 1946 in Alice, Texas to Alejandro Chapa Jr. and Teresa G. Chapa. Alejandro looked forward to listening to Tejano music and the Alice Coyote game on his portable radio. He also always made sure he had his wristwatch to make sure of the time. He was an avid Alice Coyote fan and Dallas Cowboy fan. He enjoyed spending time with his sister and eager to receive spending money from her to buy his favorite snacks and his favorite drink, Pepsi. He will be dearly missed by many.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Alejandro Chapa Jr. and Teresa G. Chapa; brother, Alberto G. Chapa; grandparents, Domingo Garcia and Francisca Garcia, Alejandro Chapa Sr. and Eugenia Chapa.
Alejandro is survived by his siblings, Ludivina “Lou” Chapa of Alice, Abel Chapa of Corpus Christi, Eugenia Chapa of San Antonio, and Alfredo Chapa (Mary) of Alice; nieces, Sandra Lou Chapa of Alice and Arlena Gomez of Cherokee, North Carolina; nephew, Alejandro Hernandez of Alice; numerous great-nieces, great-nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, March 29, 2022 from 5 till 9 p.m. at Rosas Funeral Home Chapel with a holy rosary to be recited at 7 p.m. that evening. A funeral mass will be celebrated Wednesday, March 30, 2022 at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Burial to follow at New Collins Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Alfredo Chapa, Rene Montemayor Jr., Danny Montemayor, Joe Martinez, Ruben Garcia, and Miguel Garcia.
