Alice – Alfredo Garza Jr., 79 years of age, passed away on Saturday, December 25, 2021. He was born on February 23, 1942, in Bishop, Texas to Alfredo Sr. and Andrea Contreras Garza. He worked for J.C. Penny’s for 35 years. He served our country in the U.S. Army Reserved and National Guard. Alfredo was married to his wife Baudelia for 53 years. They were inseparable and had total admiration for one another. His joy was his family and grandchildren. He enjoyed watching the Dallas Cowboys, barbecuing for family and friends, and listening to conjunto music.
Alfredo is preceded in death by his parents; and his siblings, David Garza and Elodia Perez.
Survivors include his loving wife of 53 years of marriage, Baudelia Garza of Alice, Texas; one son, Alfredo (Samantha) Garza III of La Vernia, Texas; one daughter Cynthia (Edward) Garcia of Palito Blanco, Texas; one brother, Rene (Julie) Garza of Alice, Texas; four sisters, Dora Adame, Irma (Manuel) Adame both of Alice, Texas; Elda Carrasco of Victoria, Texas and Sylvia De Leon of San Antonio, Texas; four grandchildren, Ethan Garcia, Madeline Garza, Avery Garcia and Caelen Garza along with numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends and relatives on Wednesday, December 29, 2021, at 5:00 P.M. at Rosas Funeral Home. A Holy Rosary will be recited at 7:00 P.M. that evening. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 A.M. December 30, 2021, at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church. Burial will follow at the Roselawn Cemetery with military honors by the United Veterans Burial Association.
