Alma G. Lerma
Freer – Alma G. Lerma, 67, of Freer, Texas was called home to be with the Lord and her loved ones, on Monday, October 4, 2021, after a sudden illness in an Alice, Texas Hospital. She was born in San Diego, Texas on December 26, 1953, to her parents, Jose and Margarita Gonzalez. She was a homemaker who enjoyed trips to Kickapoo, playing Chalupa, card games, cooking, and spending time with her family and friends.
Alma’s sons saw her as the most loving, stubborn, hardheaded, strongest, and independent woman they have ever known. Too much to say, and not enough to tell. Alma was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, mother-in- law, and friend who will be remembered for her loving bond with her children and Grandchildren. She will be missed dearly by all who were blessed to have known her.
Alma is proceeded in Death by her parents Jose and Margarita A. Gonzalez, two brothers Mario and Freddie Gonzalez, one Grandson Mike Salinas, Jr., one sister Melba G. Lichtenberger, one Daughter-In-Law Laura A. Salinas, and one Step-grandson Daniel Lerma.
Alma is survived by her loving husband Alejandro Lerma, Sr. of Freer, Texas; Four Sons Charlie (Randy) Salinas, Ben Joe (Diana) Salinas, Travis (Victoria) Salinas, and Mike Salinas, Sr. all of Freer, Texas; one stepson Alejandro Lerma, Jr., two stepdaughters Anna Serna and Lisa (Danny) Charles; 7 Grand Children Anissa, Django, Jessi, Marc, Megan, Chance, Monique Salinas; Two Brothers, Joe G. “Pepe” (Marla) Gonzalez, and Orlando (Norma) Gonzalez, one brother in law Richard Lichtenberger Sr. 15 Step Grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Family will be receiving relatives and friends on Friday Oct 8, 2021, at 11:00 A.M. at Rosas Funeral Home. Funeral service will be conducted at 1:30 P.M. at Rosas Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at the Freer Hahl Memorial Park Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Chance Salinas, Marc Salinas, Michael Joe Hinojosa, Jordan Gonzalez, Chris Hernandez, and Mario Gonzalez Jr. Her children would like to thank everyone for all the texts, phone calls, and prayers during the fight she endured the past few weeks.
