AMPARO MOLINA SAENZ Amparo Molina Saenz, 80, passed away March 27, 2024 surrounded by her children and grandchildren in Round Rock, Texas. She was born on August 1, 1943 in Nuevo Leon, Mexico to Paula Silva Mendoza and Hilario Molina and was raised by Jose Mendoza. Amparo was a housewife and enjoyed gardening, sewing, cooking, camping, going to the ranch, and the games of bingo and loteria. While living in Freer, she was an active member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church and the Catholic Daughters of America Court #2243. She will be remembered as a caring and loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother and will be dearly missed by all those who knew her. Amparo is preceded in death by her husband, Diego C. Saenz; her parents, Paula S. Mendoza, Hilario Molina, and Jose Mendoza; grandson, Angel Saenz; brothers, Jose Mendoza, Abraham Mendoza, Mario Mendoza; and sister, Marisela Reza. Survivors include her children, Eva (Javier) Perez of Laredo, Horacio (Rebecca) Saenz of Orange Grove, Ana Saenz (John Barton) of Freer, Joe (Margo) Saenz of Round Rock, Maribel (Arnold) Liguez of San Antonio, Amanda (Jason) Carrola of Leander, and Diego (Irisbel) Saenz of Freer. Other survivors include grandchildren Javier Perez, Jr., Leanna Millette Perez, Horacio (Jessica) Saenz, Jr., Mario Adrian Saenz, Anthony Ross (Maria) Saenz, Ariel Matias Cornejo, Arissa Mireya Cornejo, Aralynn Nicole Ortiz, Ashley Nicole Saenz, Jonathan Rene Saenz, Samantha Jo Saenz, Victoria Elizabeth Liguez, Katherine Marie Liguez, Alexandra Rae Liguez, Natalie Renae Carrola, Nicole Inez Carrola, Diego G. Saenz III, and Adriel Benjamin Saenz; great grandsons, Horacio Saenz III, Anthony Ross Saenz, Jr. and Nathaniel Ryan Saenz; siblings Lilia M. (Oscar) Casteneda, Eustacio (Alicia) Mendoza, Leticia (Juan Carlos) Mendoza, Christina (Roy) Mendoza, and Paulita Mendoza. Visitation will be held Monday, April 1, 2024 beginning at 5 p.m. at Rosas Funeral Home Chapel in Alice with a holy rosary to be recited at 7 p.m. that evening. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, April 2, 2024 at 11 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Freer with her burial following at Hahl Memorial Park. Active and Honorary pallbearers will include all her grandchildren who loved her dearly: Horacio Saenz, Jr., Javier Perez, Jr., Mario Adrian Saenz, Ariel Matias Cornejo, Anthony Ross Saenz, and Jonathan Rene Saenz.
