Bene Baldemar “Balde” Buentello, age 64, passed away on Sunday, August 7, 2022 in a local hospital following an extended illness. Balde was born February 18, 1958 to Benigno Buentello and Aurora Navejar in Alice, Texas. Balde started working at Kettle Restaurant in Alice, Texas as cook and was later promoted to the Night Manager until the restaurant closed it’s doors. He enjoyed baking for his family. His famous pan de polvo, tamales, and many other goodies will be missed. Balde also enjoyed music and dancing. He lived his life to the fullest and will be deeply missed by all who knew him. He is preceded in death by his parents, Brother Robert Buentello, Sister Lupita B. Saenz, Best Friend Mary Lou Carbajal, paternal grandparents Sacarias and Salome Buentello, maternal grandparents Isabel and Ninfa Navejar, and Nephew Robert Deleon.
