Bruce Leroy Bowen Jr, age 39, passed away on Wednesday, November 16, 2022. He was a loving father, grandfather, son, grandson, brother, and true friend, who will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him and loved him. Most importantly, he was a child of God.
Bruce had a passion for working with his stereo system, installing radios into vehicles, and just anything having to do with technology. He never met a stranger and was always ready to give a helping hand to anyone in need. He enjoyed watching the Green Bay Packers and was a Trump supporter. Bruce loved his pet dog Diesel and cat Zoey dearly. The joy of his life was his grandson Elijah, with whom he spent a lot of time taking him to children’s events, the park, the circus, or just playing, hugging and loving him.
Bruce was known as “Rebel of Dialysis” at the Kidney Treatment Center, where he was loved by everyone including patients there for treatment because of his wonderful sense of humor, always joking and bringing joy and laughter to them all.
He is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Roberto Davila and Olivia Torres (Jimmy) Jones, and paternal grandfather, Norberto Bowen.
Bruce is survived by his parents, Kim Randall and Elizabeth Randall; biological father, Bruce (Sandra) Bowen Sr; companion, Jennifer Benavides; son, Bruce Bowen III; daughter, Aaliyah Bowen; stepson, Blake Benavides; grandson, Elijah Nicolas Bowen; his brother, Christopher (Kimberly) Bowen; his sisters Nicole (Raul) Garza, Amanda Bowen (Edward) Garza, and Olivia Chantee Randall; maternal grandmother, Virginia Bowen; mother of his children, Veronica Godines Chapa; and extended family and dear friends.
