Open Mic

I’d like to announce that I have a new performance guideline to share. Starting this Thursday, people over the age of 8 years old can no longer sing along to radio versions of songs.

Meaning, you can only perform with instrumental versions of songs. I can set you up with a karaoke YouTube video if need be, but no more singing along to songs with the lead vocals.

Children 8 and under can sing ONE SONG along with the lead vocals if need be. Of course if the child can sing to karaoke versions/instrumental versions, they will get the normal amount of up to 3 songs per turn.

So just to summarize, people at the open mic are welcome to perform/recite original poetry, perform a solo instrumental, perform as part of a duo/trio or full band, sing an a capella song, or sing along to instrumental versions of songs only.
