Doroteo González
Doroteo González, 86 years of age, entered eternal rest on Wednesday, December 1, 2021, reuniting in heaven with his beloved wife Alejandra S. González.
Doroteo was born on August 18,1935 in Benavides, Texas to Lucinda and Regino González.
He worked for over 30 years at B.G. Cornelius Construction Company starting as a roustabout and advancing to Foreman, a position of which he was especially proud. He also worked briefly for a Home Health agency in the Maintenance department.
He is preceded in death by his lovely wife, his parents, and one sister, Elva Flores and his brother-in-law Tenorio, and brother-in-law Isaias Flores. He is also preceded in death by his in-laws, Oliva Niño De Los Santos and Horacio De Los Santos, Omedie and Donato Cantü, Marta and Rene Buentello, Mario Segura, and Roberto Saldivar.
Survivors include daughters Lucinda (Manuel) G. González of Tomball, Texas, and Belinda (Diego) G. Garza of Cypress, Texas; granddaughters, Lucinda Ann González of Austin, Texas, and Suzanne Belinda (Michael Menchaca) González of San Antonio, Texas; one sister Olga Flores of Euless, Texas. Sisters-in-law Ofelia Saldivar and Odilia Perez. Numerous nephews and nieces.
A visitation will take place on Tuesday December 7, 2021, at 5:00P.M. at Rosas Funeral Home with a Holy Rosary recited at 7:30 P.M. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 on Wednesday, December 8, 2021, at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Burial will follow at the Benavides Cemetery in Benavides, Texas.
