Eliseo (Cheo) Santana Morin
Round Rock – On Feb 26th, 2022, Eliseo (Cheo) Santana Morin, passed away at the age of 82, after a prolonged illness. He was a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather, uncle, and a trusted friend to all who knew him. Eliseo was born in San Diego, Texas on June 14, 1939. He was an active parishioner of St. Francis de Paula Catholic church in San Diego until moving to Round Rock, TX in early 2020. He graduated San Diego High School, and actively served in the U.S. Army after completing school from 1959-1961.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Patricio and Anselma Morin from San Diego, Tx, a brother, Vicente Morin from Corpus Christi, TX and his sister, Herminia M. Perez from San Diego, TX.
Eliseo is survived by his wife of 52 years, Maria Luisa Morin. He lovingly raised his daughter, Rose Marie Harmony (William) from Silverthorne, CO and his son, Joe F. Delgado (Melba) from Round Rock, TX. He is also survived by his grandchildren, who meant the absolute world to him. Clayton Harmony (Suzanne) of Philadelphia, PA, Vanessa Harmony of Basalt, CO, Erin Delgado of Denton, TX and Olivia Delgado from Round Rock, TX. He was employed at Halliburton Corporation for many years and worked at Alcoa Reynolds Metals until his retirement in 2003. Eliseo bought land in Los Reyes, TX in the mid-1970s and worked diligently at creating a place where he and Maria could spend their golden years. They moved there permanently shortly after his retirement, and spent many years together enjoying the peaceful environment of the country life. Due to illness, he and Maria moved to Round Rock, in early 2020, to be closer to medical facilities and his son’s family.
He was an amazing and genuine soul who will be missed by all who knew him. He was a trustworthy, honorable family member or friend you could always count on. His mind that was overrun with chaotic and kinetic imagery, is now a blank canvas. It is completely quiet again, and he is at peace.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 23rd, at Beck Funeral Home, 15907 Ranch Road 620 North, Austin TX 78717. In lieu of flowers, the family requests you send a donation in honor of Eliseo Morin to the LBDA. (Lewy Body Dementia Association)
