ESPERANZA E. GARCIA Alice – Esperanza E. Garcia, 79 years of age, passed away on May 18, 2023, at her residence after a sudden illness. Esperanza worked for many years for different hotels in Alice in the housekeeping department. She was born on May 14, 1944, in San Diego Texas to Vicente and Maria L. Esquivel. Esperanza was a devout Christian and always believed in the power of prayer and God. She loved gardening and loved her blooming plants; she admired the colorful flowers and their smell. She will be remembered for her kind heart and loving personality. She is preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Guadalupe Garcia. Survivors include three sons, Gustavo (Barbara) Andrade of Killeen, Texas, Rodolfo “Rudy” (Luz S.) Andrade of Alice, Texas, and Rodolfo (Rosie) Lopez of New Braunfels, Texas; one daughter, Virginia (Nick Vargas) Gonzalez of Beeville, Texas; one sister, Margarita Esquivel of Alice; 10 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. A visitation was held on Friday, May 26, 2023, at 11 a.m. at Rosas Funeral Home. Funeral Service was conducted at 1 p.m. that same afternoon at the funeral home chapel. A burial followed at Roberson Collins Cemetery. ROSAS FUNEAL HOME entrusted with arrangements.
