Guadalupe Raymond Naranjo, beloved husband, father and grandfather, went to be with the Lord on June 20, 2023 in Midland, TX at the age of 74.
Raymond was born in Agua Dulce, Texas on September 26, 1948 and resided in Midland, TX at the time of his death. Throughout his life, Raymond had a passion for cooking, spending time with his family, and the Dallas Cowboys. Raymond brought his family to West Texas from Freer, TX in 1986 where he would later retire from Mobil Pipeline after 35 years.
His parents Guadalupe and Maria Naranjo, his brother-in-law Israel Garza and his sister-in-law Gloria Naranjo precede Raymond in death.
Those left to cherish his memories include his wife Carolyn of Midland, TX; children Bobby Naranjo and wife Becky of Midland, TX; Lisa Nixon and husband Mike of Bay City, TX; Lori Salazar and husband Oscar of Monahans, TX; Mark Naranjo and wife Ruby of Stafford, VA; Joseph Naranjo and Evan Cagle of Paris, France. Grandchildren Daniella Chavez and husband Gasper, Marisa Nixon, Madison Nixon, Lauren Salazar, Miyah Salazar, Matthew Naranjo, Nick Naranjo, Evelyn Naranjo, and Luke Naranjo. Great-grandchildren Rowan Chavez, Kayla Chavez and Valerie Chavez. Sisters Mary Lou; Cande Person and husband Jim; Yolanda Anderson and husband Johnny; Millie Norris and husband Scott; Alma Garza and husband Carlos; brother Ricky Naranjo. The mother of his children, Belinda G. Lopez, also survives Raymond as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Viewing is set for Tuesday, June 27, 2023 from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm at Garza Funeral Home in Freer, TX with a rosary to be held in his honor at 7:00 pm. A funeral Mass will be held at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Freer, TX on Wednesday, June 28, 2023 at 10:00 am with graveside services immediately following at Hahl Memorial Cemetery.
