Josie P. Rodriguez, 67 years of age, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, November 25, 2023 at her residence with her loving family at her bedside. She was born in San Fernando, Tamps. On March 19, 1956 to her parents, Emilio and Moncerrat Padilla. Josie was a very loving and caring person who lived her life caring for her family and others. She worked in the home health industry, nursing home, private care always dedicating her life to helping everyone. Josie was the life of the party and was always dressed up, she enjoyed dancing, attending parties and family functions, cooking and baking and was well known for her pan de polvo and tamales and especially enjoyed spending time wth her family. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt who will be sadly missed by all her family and friends.
Josie is survived by her husband of 49 years of marriage, Carlos Rodriguez of Benavides, Texas; three sons, Sergio (Fabiola) Garcia of Benavides, Texas; Freddy (Melinda Rodriguez) of La Vernia, Texas; Amberto Rodriguez of Edinburg, Texas; four sisters, Adolfina Padilla, Gilberta Padilla, Juanita Padilla and Maria Elena Padilla; one brother, Argelio Padilla; her grandsons, Kayleb Rodriguez, John Carlo and Camila Garcia; numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held at 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 28, 2023, at Garza Funeral Home in San Diego, Texas with a Rosary at 6:00 p.m. that evening. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 29, 2023, at St. Rosa De Lima Catholic Church in Benavides, Texas. Interment will follow at Benavides Cemetery in Benavides, Texas.
