Lauri Ann Harrison, 59, was called home to be with our Heavenly Father on January 3, 2022. She was born in Alice, TX on October 13, 1962 to William and Mildred Harrison.
Lauri was an Alice High School graduate of 1981. She went on to dedicate herself to the healthcare profession and worked as a nurse for over 30 years in Alice and Corpus Christi.
In 1992, she welcomed her daughter, her pride and joy, Amanda “Mandy” Harrison to the world. Her daughter was her world and she would often spend her spare time visiting her in New Braunfels.
Lauri had a keen sense of humor and could always make you laugh and smile. She also had such a tender and caring heart and would help anyone in need. Her fun and caring nature made her the ultimate best friend as evidenced by her decades long friendships. She was another mother to her daughter’s friends. And, Lauri adored her son-in-law who was the son she never had.
She also loved animals and would rescue any animal that needed it. Lauri will be deeply missed by everyone who knew her.
Lauri is preceded in death by her parents, William and Mildred Harrison; her maternal grandparents, Odell Thornton, Norman Hoffman, and Ina Thornton Hoffman; her paternal grandparents Elmer and Lee Vada Harrison; and many pets since her childhood that have crossed the Rainbow Bridge.
She leaves behind her daughter Amanda (Bradley) Harrison Scott; her brother Dan (Kim) Harrison and nieces Sophie and Colleen Harrison; and her extended family (the Trejo, Alvarado, Buenteo, Gonzalez, McMillan families).
The family would like to thank the medical professionals at St. David’s North Austin Medical Center for their dedication and support.
