Margarito Manrique Rios, “Mike”, 81, passed away November 17, 2023, in Agua Dulce. He was born June 27, 1942, in Mexico to Abelardo and Petra Manrique Rios. Mike enjoyed fishing, hunting and gardening. Mike had a love for cats and all animals. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him. He was preceded in death by his parents, Abelardo and Petra Rios; wife, Margarita Rios; son Roberto Rios; and siblings, Maria M. Rios, Leobardo Rios, Fernando Rios, and Berta Rios. He is survived by his children, Leobardo Rios (Amy) of Edcouch-Elsa, Lalo Rios (Monica) of Alice, and Petra Ybarra (Damian) of Alice; daughter-in-law, Santa Rios of Ben Bolt; siblings, Amelia Rios, Benito Rios, Antonia Rios Sanchez, Abelardo Rios, and Carmela Rios; grandchildren, Cameron Sanchez, Sebastian Rios, Robert Rios Jr. (Xerahleen), Miguel Rios (Kassie), Myra Garcia (Pete), Lalo Rios Jr., Leslie Rios, Kady Bratten (Keith), Bella Sophia Grossman, Damian Ybarra, and Deandra Ybarra; three great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Visitation was held Tuesday, November 21, 2023, from 6 till 9 p.m. at Rosas Funeral Home Chapel in Alice with a holy rosary to be recited at 7 p.m. that evening. A funeral mass will be celebrated Wednesday, November 22, 2023, at 9:30 a.m. at St. Frances of Rome Catholic Church in Agua Dulce. Burial to follow at New Collins Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Robert Rios Jr., Miguel Rios, Lalo Rios Jr., Damian Ybarra Jr., Sebastian Rios, Pete Garcia, Keith Bratten, and Codie Chavera.
