Maria Guadalupe Gonzalez
Maria Guadalupe “Lupita” Gonzalez, 60 years of age, went to be with the Lord on Monday, November 29, 2021 as a result of a car accident along with her companion, Eloy Soliz Sr. She was born in San Diego, Texas on October 14, 1961 to her parents, Pedro and Porfiria (Moreno) Gonzalez. Lupita was an active member of Una Voz En El Desierto Church in Realitos where she attended church faithfully. She enjoyed cooking and would make the best enchiladas and baking for her grandkids, going out to eat at different restaurants, going to amusement parks and water parks and was a bargain shopper. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt who will be sadly missed by all her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jose “Joe” Gonzalez Sr. and her sister Petra G. ( Robert Sr.) Davila; her companion of 20 years, Eloy Soliz Sr.; her grandmother, Reyitas “Momo” Saenz.
Lupita is survived by her son, Jose “J.C.” (Ashley) Gonzalez of Kingsville, Texas; three grandsons, Nathan Isaiah Vasquez, Jaron Michael Gonzalez, Jared Lei Gonzalez; three sisters, Elia (Juan) Foley of Benavides, Texas; Irma (Bruno) Cantu of Benavides, Texas; Juana Arroyos of San Diego, Texas; three brothers, Luis (Delinda) Garza of Benavides, Texas; Juan (Binki) Garza of Benavides, Texas; Oscar “Pino” (Monica) Garza of San Diego, Texas; four nieces and nephews, Robert (Alma) Davila, Stefanie ( Ramon Perez) Davila, J.D. (Mandy) Foley, Hannah Foley and several other nieces and nephews.
Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic we will be following all CDC and Government mandates and ask each guest to do so as well. We ask everyone to follow social distancing and wear masks inside the funeral home.
Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. till service time on Sunday, December 5, 2021 at Garza Funeral Home in San Diego, Texas with a Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m. that day with Pastor Amadeo Serna, Officiating. Services will conclude at the funeral home.
