Noel Charles, Sr.
Corpus Christi – Noel Charles, Sr., age 59, passed away Saturday, February 19, 2022 in Corpus Christi, Texas. He was born on December 14, 1962 in Alice, Texas to the late Reynaldo and the late Maria Charles.
Noel attended and graduated from Ben Bolt-Palito Blanco ISD. He enjoyed hunting, raising chickens, playing with his weenie dogs or as he would like to call them “sausage”, and BBQ’n. He especially loved spending time with his wife, family, and friends and loved to try his luck with the lottery. Noel farmed for 31 years with Prukup Farms in Premont, TX as well as the King Ranch. He was dearly loved and will be missed by all who knew him.
Left to cherish their memories of him are his loving wife of 35 years, Leonor G. Charles; children, Marlem (Lee Roy) Placencio of Palito Blanco, Rey Santiago (Estrella) Charles of Minnesota, Maria Del Carmen Charles of San Diego, and Noel (Mollie) Charles, Jr. of Palito Blanco; parents, Reynaldo and Maria Charles; grandchildren, Leonor Ruby Hernandez, Tomas Hernandez, Jr., Faith Nicole Hernandez, Lee Roy Placencio, Jr., and Destiny Rose Placencio; brothers, Reynaldo (Frances) Charles, Jr. of California, Omar Charles, of Minnesota, Jamie Charles of California, Cesar (Carmen) R. Charles of Minnesota, and Rey Santiago (Estrella) Charles of Minnesota; sisters, Stella (the late Demetrio) Garcia and Sofia (Cosme) Guzman both of Palito Blanco, numerous nephews and nieces.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM on Friday, February 25, 2022 with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 7:00 PM at Holmgreen Mortuary Chapel located at 2061 E. Main St. Alice, TX. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on 10:00 AM Saturday, February 26, 2022 at St. Joseph Mission located at 2668 FM 735 Palito Blanco, TX. All services will conclude at the church.
