Albina Franco Borrego Hinojosa
Albina Franco Borrego Hinojosa passed away on Friday, September 3, 2021, at the age of 60. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Albina had a lot of faith and trust in the Lord and was an active faithful member of St. Elizabeth of Hungary Catholic Church. Albina worked for Alice Christus Spohn Hospital, Day’s Inn Hotel, L&L Janitorial Company as housekeeper, and for Canales Café as the best tortilla maker. She enjoyed listening to music and loved to dance, working in the yard with her roses, seeing her novellas, and celebrating her favorite holiday, Thanksgiving; as she loved to cook and bake for her family and enjoyed having all her family together, eating, laughing, and sharing memories. Albina fell in love at first sight with the love of her life, Demetrio, and had been married 40 years. She will be dearly missed by all whom knew and loved her.
Albina is proceeded in death by her parents, Jose De La Luz and Dominga Borrego; brothers, Guillermo Borrego and Primotivo Borrego.
Albina is survived by her husband, Demetrio Hinojosa; daughters, Tanya Hinojosa, Crystal (Gregorio) Diaz, and Mary (Isaac) Ramirez; grandchildren, Crystal Diaz, Kristella Diaz, Israel Diaz, Deni-Ly Ramirez, Baylee Ramirez, Isaac Ramirez Jr., Andrew Hinojosa, and Allieana Hinojosa; sisters, Juanita Parra Borrego, Leticia Borrego, and Maria Socorro Chavez; brothers, Cornelio (Refugia)Borrego, Jose Jorge (Justina) Borrego, and Bernardino (Valeria) Borrego; mother-in-law, Maria Trevino Hinojosa; and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.
The family will receive condolences on Tuesday, September 7, 2021, from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM, at Trevino Funeral Home, 120 E. Front St., Alice, Texas; with Prayer Service to be recited at 6:30 PM by Pastor Jose Jorge Borrego, followed by a Holy Rosary to be recited by Deacon Bourlon. Funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday, September 8, 2021, at 1:30 PM at St. Elizabeth of Hungary Catholic Church followed by Rite of Committal and Interment at Roberson-Collins Cemetery. Honoring Albina as pallbearers are Andrew Hinojosa, Gregorio Diaz, Paul Hinojosa, Fidencio Hinojosa, Josh Harris, Isaac Ramirez, and honorary pallbearer, Israel Diaz.
