Maria Dolores Alaniz
Alice – Maria Dolores Alaniz, entered eternal rest September 5, 2021 in Alice, Texas at the age of 63. She was born December 3, 1957 in Alice, Texas to Pedro and Aurora Perez. Maria was known to most as Mrs. Alaniz and others called her grandma and mom. She loved with all her heart and showed that to anyone in her presence. She loved to cook for family and friends but most of all she loved her family deeply. Her grandkids meant the world to her, and she was always there for them. She will be missed by many and the impact she left upon others was to always have faith.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Pedro and Aurora Perez; step-father, Felipe Hernandez; brother, George Perez; son, Jaime Alaniz; sister-in-law, Graciela “Gracie” Alaniz; and granddaughter, Trisha Daenerys Alaniz.
She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Crisolfo Alaniz of Alice; children, Crisolfo Alaniz Jr. (Sarah Munoz), Veronica Alaniz (Jeramine Mata), and Andres Alaniz all of Alice; siblings, Perdro Perez of Alice, Genie Hernandez of Los Fresnos, Adan Perez (Betty) of Alice, Eva Roberts (Ted) of Corpus Christi, and Aurora Perez of Alice; sister-in-law, Paulita Alaniz of San Diego; 15 grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will be held Saturday, September 11, 2021 from 11:30 a. till 1 p.m. at Rosas Funeral Home Chapel with a rosary to be recited at 1 p.m. A funeral mass will follow and be celebrated at 2:30 p.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Services to conclude after the mass.
Pallbearers will be Alejandro Alaniz, Enrique Bernal, Eduardo Bernal, Emilio Bernal, Frank Trejo, George Perez Jr., Sergio Perez, and Michael Andrews.
