Servando Sendejo Sr.
Servando Sendejo Sr., age 85, passed away September 15, 2021 in Corpus Christi, Texas. He was born October 18, 1935 in Mendietta, Texas to Sosteno and Clara Sendejo. Servando worked in the oilfield industry for over 60 years. Servando loved working, enjoyed the outdoors, was full of energy and was very independent until his illness. He was a very dedicated man to his family and his work. He will forever be remembered for his love of his daughter and sons as well as his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He will be greatly missed.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Manuela T. Sendejo; parents, Sosteno and Clara Sendejo; brother Santos Sendejo and sons, David Sendejo and Orlando Sendejo Sr.
He is survived by three sons, Servando Sendejo Jr. (Priscilla) of Ben Bolt, Juan Sendejo of Alice, and Armando Sendejo (Sara) of Alice; one daughter, Esperanza “Hope” Galvan (Rey) of Rosharon; sister, Rosa Quintanilla of George West; daughter-in-law, Angie Sendejo of Alice; 13 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will be held Monday, September 20, 2021 from 12 p.m. till 2 p.m. at Rosas Funeral Home Chapel. A rosary will be held Monday, September 20, 2021 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church at 2:30 pm with a funeral mass to be celebrated at 3 p.m. Burial to follow at Roberson Collins Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Servando Sendejo III, Silver Sendejo, Johnny Sendejo, Jay Micheal Fabela, Orlando Sendejo Jr., Mario Sendejo, Victor Rey Galvan and Armando Sendejo.
