Alice – Phillip Lyall Brock – 86 years of age passed away on October 16, 2021, in a Corpus Christi hospital. Lyall as he was known to all his Alice family and friends was born on March 10, 1935, in Midwest, Wyoming to Arthur and Dorothea Brock. Lyall came to live in Alice, Texas in 1979 and worked oilfield with Gardener Denver and worked for B&B Pest control for over 20 years. He enjoyed attending Ben Bolt Badgers and Texas A&M Kingsville Javelins football games. Lyall was a member of the “Just porkin around cookoff team”. He also served our country as a member of the United States Marine Crop.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and his wife Jan Brock and his Alice family member Manuel Gonzalez IV.
Survivors include four sons Phillip Brock, Christopher Brock, Lyall Samuel Brock, and James Collins, one daughter Theresa brock. Other survivors include his Alice family David and Cynthia Bueno and their children, Amador Daniel Chapa, Aaron Joe Bueno, David Bueno Jr., Esteban Bueno and Roberto Bueno, his little princess Allison Danielle Chapa, and the rest of the Bueno family grandchildren Corbin, Seth, Stella Rose, Sofia Gwen, Robert Jr. and Angie Bueno and many friends.
Visitation will be held on October 20, 2021, at 11:30 A.M. at Rosas Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral service will be conducted at 1:30 P.M. also at Rosas Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Las Flores Cemetery of Ben Bolt, Texas with military honors by the United veteran’s burial association of Alice, Texas.
Honoring Lyall as pallbearers will be Daniel “Danny” Bueno, Willie Bueno, David Bueno Jr., Esteban Bueno, Amador Daniel Chapa and Aaron Joe Bueno, David Bueno Sr. as Honorary Pallbearer.
