Ricardo Mallett Jr, age 68, passed away on Saturday, January 22, 2022. Ricardo was born in Alice, Texas on March 4, 1953 to his parents Ricardo Mallett Sr and Francisca Ramirez Mallett. He was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him.
Ricardo was a hardworking family man whose main goal was to provide for the needs of his family. He always wanted what was best for his children and would go beyond the call of duty to assist and help them with whatever they needed. Ricardo always had a smile on his face; you could go to him and he would listen to your problems and he would advise or guide you and was never judgmental. He was always reassuring his children how much he loved each one of them. He was a wonderful storyteller and a jokester and had a nick name for each one of his children; such as Enrique, Kevin, Negro, El Rey, Z95, Ellie, Nina, and La Juana. He really enjoyed family gatherings, barbequing, listening to music, and dancing. Ricardo lived an adventurous life and traveled all over the country, meeting and making friends wherever he went. Ricardo was a jack of all trades and there was nothing he couldn’t do or fix. He was also a truck driver and welder; but most of all, he really loved working on the farm where he was the Forman for Lambert Farms.
He is preceded in death by his father, Ricardo Mallett Sr, and his sister, Rosalinda Mallett Smith.
Ricardo is survived by his sons, John Albert Mallett, Ricardo (Elizabeth) Mallett III, Jerry Lee (Tracy) Mallett, Fidel Ricardo (Roselina) Mallett, and Danny Ray (Latisha) Mallett; daughters, Nora Lisa (Raul Soliz) Mallett, Lora Ann (Ramon Jr) Ruiz, and Darlene Ann Mallett; mother, Francisca Mallett; sisters, Rosanna Vasquez, Rosalina Mallett, Gloria (Edward) Barrientes, Mary Frances (Servando Castaneda) Mallett, and Norma (Oscar) Cantu; 28 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren, nephews, nieces, and extended family.
