Shawn Gary Waters
Alice – Shawn Gary Waters, age 62, passed away March 1, 2022 in Alice, Texas. He was born July 2, 1959 in Melrose Park, Illinois to Donald and Geraldine Waters. Shawn was a member of the Knights of Columbus at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church and a member of the ACTS. Shawn enjoyed conversing with people as he shared stories about his passion of cars. He had a love for building model cars and a love for racecars. Shawn enjoyed being around his family and had a deep love for his grandchildren. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his son, Shawn Gary Waters Jr.; his parents, grandparents; brother, Don, and uncle, Gary.
Shawn is survived by his wife of 20 years, Abbe Garcia of Alice; children, Elanie Luna (Brandon) of Houston, Emily Luna of Alice, Erin Luna (Robert Sanchez) of Alice, Erica Ramos of Alice, Amy McHenry of Alice, Amanda Casas (Elvia Trejo) of Alice, and Tammy Buice of Tennessee; brother, Tim Waters; sisters, Annette, Toni, Kathy, and Beverly; 24 grandchildren; three granddaughters; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
